ii. PRICING / PACKAGES

The price for wedding photography and videography coverage can range from anything between $350 to the-sky-is-the-limit. However, finding a wedding photographer and videographer that falls within your budget is no easy feat.

Here's how you can start:

  1. Friend’s recommendation
  2. Search Engines (e.g., Google, Yahoo, Bing!)
  3. Reputable Wedding Forums (e.g., SingaporeBrides, Bride Story, Wedding Scoop)

After finding a wedding photographer and videographer that falls within your budget, you start studying their wedding packages. Every company offers different wedding photography and videography packages, and sometimes, it can get confusing trying to make sense of it. Make sure you understand the packages and what you are getting yourself into before signing anything. This way, not only are you able to take full advantage of the wedding photography and videography package, but you won’t have any unexpected bill shocks.

Considering going for cheap?

If you considering going with a cheap wedding photographer and videographer. May we just stop you right there to remind you of a good old Singaporean saying: “Cheap things aren’t good. Good things aren’t cheap”. You’re about to pin your entire wedding coverage on these fellas, do you really want to risk everything you paid with your hard-earned money just so you could save a few dollars?

To drive the point home, we leave you with an ancient Chinese proverb: “一分钱一分货”. You really do get what you pay for. Don’t say we didn’t warn you. You can thank us later!

Hence, if you are comfortable with the PRICING and PACKAGES, you're on your way to the third and final 'P'.

iii. PERSON

Third and final 'P' is arguably the most important of the ‘3-Ps’.

You got to like them as a PERSON. I don't mean you need to befriend your wedding photographer and videographer and share all your secrets with them. What I do mean is that you need to feel comfortable being around them.

Why is this important?

It's important because your wedding photographers and videographers interaction with you is significantly higher than any other wedding vendor. Other than your spouse, these people will never leave your sight and side (pun much intended). Also, there will be a thousand other things that will stress you out on your wedding day. Being comfortable with your wedding photographer and videographer will help alleviate some of the stress.

A few factors to consider during the initial first consult:

  1. Do you like his personality;
  2. Are you able to connect with him;
  3. Does he make you feel at ease;
  4. Does he have a sense of humour (bonus point!).

Note that the above list has nothing to do with their level of competency or skill as a wedding photographer or videographer.

Remember: There will be a thousand other things stressing you out on your wedding day, and your wedding photographer and videographer should not be one of them.

In conclusion, a wedding photographer and videographer is considered to be one of the most important people you could have at your wedding. They help you capture the essence and flavour of the wedding.

  1. PORTFOLIO
  2. PRICE & PACKAGE
  3. PERSON

As you make your selection based on the '3-Ps', do remember to take these two points into consideration:

1.     Selection has to be done in sequential order of the 'Ps';

Point (i) must first be satisfied, before moving on to point (ii), and so forth. You cannot reorder the point system or skip them.

2.     Each 'P' is equally important.

What more can we say? Enjoy the process of getting married and making decisions with your future spouse. We wish you a blissful marriage!

"Investing in your wedding photography isn’t a luxury, it isn’t extravagance. You are investing in your life, your memories, the proof of who you are and what you represent. The beautiful you." – Cat Hepple

Using these '3-Ps' will Guide you in choosing your Wedding Photographer and Videographer in Singapore.
